Does anyone here have a mount for a light on a Govt issue Kevlar helmet?

I am looking for a way to mount something to the helmet (on the brim maybe) so I can read maps while on duty. This would not be used during contingency operations, only for home base exercises and such.

Last night I had to set up a cordon for an exercise bomb scenario, and it was raining, windy, I was in chem gear and I had a difficult time holding the light, map, pen and marking the map.

I need to work on the map sitaution also, but that is another story. All I had available was a paper based map, with no plastic covering or board to set it on...not a good situation, and once the rain came, my plot was wasted...

I would think you might want something like this:

LED Light (http://www.rei.com/online/store/ProductDisplay?storeId=8000&catalogId=40000008000&productId=47667893&parent_category_rn=4500596)

OR

I would think that the strap could go around the helmet and you could get a red (or other color) lens cover.

Good luck.

Yep, that's pretty close to what I want. It may have to do for now, but I wanted something to grab the front lip of the helmet, to keep it attached better, but I may not be able to find something of this nature.

Thanks for info.

Big spring clip from office supply store.
Bit of tinkering
Bout any light weight light then becomes a clamp-on.
