Is a Face-to-Face in OK ok?

Is Oklahoma a face-to-face state? My parents live in OKC and for whatever reason they're asking me. Also, there's some big-deal show in Tulsa next weekend and it's not that far from them.

Face-to-face?
Are you asking if OK allows private party transfers of firearms?

Sounds like private transfers are okay to me.

Thanks. I already read that and it doesn't really address it directly, though. I'm trying to find out specifically from someone that knows.

Private transfers are perfectly legal in Oklahoma, provided the person buying the gun is legally permitted to own a gun. You should note that it is illegal under federal law to cross state lines to buy a handgun. It is also true that most of the sellers at the Wannemacher show are licensed dealers.

It is also true that most of the sellers at the Wannemacher show are licensed dealers. Sounds like every gun show. People don't get a table at show to sell one gun, and if you sell more than ten guns a year (or something like that) you are supposed to become a dealer.

I guess you have to be a resident of a state to buy a gun in that State?
Unless it is shipped to an FFL in your state of residence?
That sounds kind of extreme.

I'm pretty sure you can buy rifles from other states (I've heard that they have to be adjoining, and that they don't, so I have no idea.)

The original post was from a Dallas, Texas resident, who clearly must cross a state line to reach Tulsa, Oklahoma, though I know some Texans who regard Oklahoma as a northern suburb of Dallas. It was unclear whether he wanted to buy a gun or was seeking advice for his parents.
I do know that OKC is in Oklahoma, though sometimes as I watch all our tax dollars go down there I wish it wasn't.
Yes, an out of state resident may purchase rifles here. He or she may not purchase handguns, but any experienced dealer will do the transaction and ship it to a licensed dealer in your home state, who does the background check and transfers the handgun to you.

Um, yeah, there are plenty of dealers around here, I can't imagine that North Texas (Oklahoma :D) has anything that I can't get here.
