Unfortunately few people use that round and although it's between 257 Roberts and 25-06 in performance, I'm afraid it's headed for obscurity. Most rifle manufacturers have dropped it's chambering from their lines already.

I have an article in on of my gun rags on the 25 WSSM. I will try and find the loads they recommended.

I would have thought a 25 WSM or a 6.5 WSM would have been more marketable, as well as a 338 WSM, instead of the .325 WSM.

Talking to some reloading suppliers, the brass is not a big seller, so it may meet it's demise.

I like the short mag technology, but there are tons of cartridges on the market to compete.

Short actions are supposedly more accurate than a long action, all else being equal.

I am currently trying to make loads up for a 75 grain V-mav, Sierra 100 grain SMK, and a 115 grain nbt to match the factory load. The only problem is that I don't have any primers to keep all the powder from falling out! When I get those I will share my results!

From what I have seen H414 and Win 760 are the powders for the 100 and 115 bullets, and this is what I am going to try starting out. Expecting about 3600 fps for the 75 grainers.

Here's a load from the Alliant site using the new powder, Reloader-17. It's designed for the short mags and works great in the regular 243 Win too. It definitely adds performance. I just got some to try.

Alliant site: www.alliantpowder.com

I would start at 48gr and work up.

25 Winchester Super Short Magnum

Minimum OAL----------2.270
(inches)

Bbl Length----------------24

I just read a custom barrel maker's website re: the new cartridges and T/C barrels.

They are stating the Thompson design is not safe to chamber Ultra mags, WSM, etc.

http://www.ottllc.com/FAQ.html

I didn't see a list of available chamberings.
