I want to get a couple hundred more fps out of my 9mm loads in a carbine. Hodgdon doesn't reply to my requests. Anyone on THR worked this out yet? Thanks.

Won't the extra barrel length do that all by itself? :neener:

What is your current load?

Vihtavuori 3N38 will give you nice loads with a lot of speed (tested in a Beretta Cx4 carbine, 9x21 caliber).

Slower powders will give you a bit more velocity in longer barrels. AA#7 is the military powder developed for the Israeli army 9mm loading for both handgun and sub machine guns like the UZI. Its burn rate is similar to Blue Dot and either powder would work very well in carbine length barrels. AA7 and Blue Dot are about the slowest powders adaptable to the relatively small case capacity of the 9mm.
