This is a tough one, probably impossible.

There was a fellow on the local craigslist asking for help identifying his knife. Out of curiosity, just for fun, and hoping I might be able to help, I requested he send a few better pictures and some info. Posted below are the pictures he sent me. He says also that there are no indications of any identifying markings on either the knife or the sheath.

So, what do you think ?

Looks like a knife made in the Phillipines to me. A friend of mine takes Kali and the handle/markings look similar. Althought most of those are sharpened on both sides.

My Dad had one that looked very much like this one.He got it during WW2 in the Phillipines. I wish I could find it now.
