I'd like some predictions from you, my fellow gun owners, how the Totalitarians (aka "Liberals") will challenge the "Arnold-win" of the recall.

Mr. Bustamante already told the media that he, himself was a winner of the election, because prop 54 was smashed.

What do you think what's coming up? Every prediction that comes true count for 100 points!

I'd guess there won't be much in the way of legal challenges by leftist extremist assault lawyers: the election was nearly a landslide.

The lamest leftist extremist comment I've encountered so far was from McAulfie, who said Schwarzenegger's win signals deep trouble for President Bush. Talk about a stretch...!

They won't challenge the win, there's no basis to do that, and even the California courts would laugh at any attempt.

What they'll do is try to force Arnold to raise taxes, and just generally make sure that his administration is a failure. When the state augers in with his hands on the yoke, they'll be positioned to take the credit for the eventual rebound.

The REAL action will be their efforts to make the next election a farce through redistricting and ballot fraud, while they make sure that any audits Arnold tries are sabotoged. You want to bet the shredders are running 24/7 right now?

Total waste of money, and they know it. Not much chance they could collect enough signatures, and zero chance that the recall would pass. I know the Dems were saying that it was bought and paid for, and anybody could be recalled with enough money, but I doubt they're stupid enough to believe it.

Worse, the recall would doubtless get combined with the next major election, and he'd get reimbursed by the state for any funds he spends defending himself, in the event it fails. That's what the Democrats really want, Arnie getting to run unlimited tax funded political ads just before the next election....

"Mr. Bustamante already told the media that he, himself was a winner of the election..."

Yes, much like the American army was committing suicide on the gates of Baghdad....about as relevant a bastard, too.

Yep, I heard one of the leftists today harping that Arnold had nothing to do with the results, but since the Cully-for-nee-uns were so angry at Bush and couldn't do anything about it, they wanted to "send him a message" and oust Davis.

Now, I hate the leftists and am no Republican either, but didn't we hear this kind of nonsense after the Dems got trounced in 11/02?

In the immortal words of Nelson: "HA HA"!:D

Arnold said he wanted to make CA a more hospitable climate for business...

We'll see these headlines:

Every streamlined enviro-restriction = "Arnold "guts" environmental protections!"

Every entitlement program reduction = "Arnold pulls safety net for most needy citizens!"

Every pro-industry intitiative = "Arnold repays multinational corporate cronies!"

Typical liberal/socialist claptrap.

What's unknown is whether the charges will stick. During the campaign, Arnold showed himself able to deliver an effective message directly to the people. If his team can communicate as well on specific issues, there might be some hope for positive change.

Did anyone see the red/blue map of California counties for this election? Typical urban/rural split...

SF, Berkeley, Santa Cruz, will be entertaining to watch, the next few months.

Some people have suggested a second recall -- even Grey Davis' people were chanting it as he made his concession speech.

Given the massive voter turnout, and the overwhelming vote AGAINST career politicians for an unknown, plus the fact that the two Republican candidates together polled a landslide total, I'd say there's no way the liberals could get a recall effort off the ground or make it stick.

I would love for these turds to try and recall Arnie. IMO, there wasn't a strong enough backlash against the democrap party yet. Any attempts at another recall could push this over the top and cause a real backlash.

Don't think it will happen though.

I think the key to this whole thing is Arnold and McClintock got over 60% of the vote in a state with mostly Democratic voters and a large percentage of Independents.

That is a rather awesome result and shows the depth of disgust among Californians. And it should be a good omen for Bush.

That may be the leverage Arnold needs to push through his agenda in Sacramento.

Arnold is kind of strange. First he says he wants to do everything he can to help "undocumented immigrants" to become legal. Then, he says he wants to repeal Davis's recent approval of the bill to allow illegal aliens to get driver licenses.

I hope Arnold understands that immigration policy and enforcement are a Federal responsibility. He probably does and is just playing politics.
