I don't know why,but I'm fascinated with these.Of course I've got a 1917 S&W,and a Webley, so I guess it comes as no surprise, but there's just something neat about these old guns.

I plan on buying two. One to shoot and just generally not care about and a second to just have sit on the shelf. They are really interesting and have a really one of a kind design

I've got dies for both 7.62 X 38 and .32 H&R Magnum.I load the .32 H&R with cast lead 90 gr. bullets,with 3.0 of HP38.I havent reloaded any of the 7.62 yet,because none of my shell holder's fit.Hotshot 7.62x38 Nagant ammo is $25.00 for a box of fifty,[I've got a box and a half left] and I've got a hundred Starline .32 H&R brass,so I'm ok for ammo.

My Webley is a .38 S&W.I have 100 rnds loaded with 16 gr. of Triple Seven,just as an experiment.

It seems to be Obama proof.The prices have stayed the same.Cool by me...a fella can have a whole collection of cool little .32 revolvers with out breaking into the kid's college fund.

Is there any difference in bore size between 7.62 Nagant and other compatible .32 cartridges? Will firing .32 S&W damage the barrel or result in less accuracy? Any other downsides?

I've fired 32. S&W shorts and longs,and .32 H&R Mag as well as the stock 7.62x38 in mine.The only one that worried me was the .32 H&R.I have read that they were about on a par with the original combat loading for the nagant,but I've pulled Nagant ammo and it was .308,while the .32 mag was .312,so it was with some trepidation that I pulled the trigger.I needn't have worried.The soft lead Federal RNFP made it down the barrel with no extra recoil, and the brass was only slightly bulged,and resized just fine.I've reloaded them with a hard cast Linotype/wheel weight semi-truncated Lee .32,sized down to .311,over 3.0 of HP38,and hope to do some more testing this weekend.

I also shoot 32 S&W long and mags out of mine. I slugged the barrel and it came out to .311.

I guess 32 S&W work fine, but the gas seal mechanism doesn't work with these cartidges, it's not an overly powerful round anyway, so it wouldn'b bother me :)

Mine loves .32 HR Mag.

Haven't managed to find a deal on 7.62 nagant so I don't have a comparison to that.

I shot my two today for the first time. Using .32 S&W long WC, 5 rounds thru each revolver. There were no real "issues" other than a couple slightly bulged cases, and maybe 2 split cases. I am tempted to try the .32 H&R mag and see how it works, as well as the Hot Shot 7.62 Nagant stuff.

I have the .32 acp cylinder, so that's what I mostly shoot. I've also shot quite a bit of .32 SWL, but never the round that Ivan intended (too expensive).
Most think .32 H&R Mag is light for bowling pin shooting, but that's what I use...it gets them off the table (placed 1 foot from the edge) when I do more than skim them.

PS. I'm thinking about getting another one, too!

I tried the .32 auto cylinder,but had to send it back,I couldn't get it to function at all ...now that I have another on the way,I may try again.Where did you get yours?

I got mine from J&G Sales. I'm far from an expert, but from what I gather from reading the Nagant forum, it's the gun...not the cylinder...that determines how the story comes out. I've heard guy say that "my .32 acp cylinder works in two of my Nagant's, but not a third." The double action on my set up works on six out of seven of the rounds. I'm told that last one will losen up with wear.

The folks who frequent the Nagant forum (http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18) are a great help. If you go there, keep in mind that some of these fellows are more into collecting and others are more into shooting.

Thanks Hoffy.I'm over on Gunboards as well.I don't really need an acp cylinder,but I sure want one .What's cooler than a four or five caliber revolver?
