I am trying to decide whether or not to buy a S&W 325PD - a local shop has one, and I can swing the cost. The problem is that the only reason I am considering this gun is that I really like the looks and feel of the gun, and the 45acp caliber would be a good addition for me.

I haven't shot one, I read that recoil could be an issue.

I read that these guns, when fired, occasionally may cause slugs waiting in the cylinder to "back out" of the casings.

I wonder about the long-term durability of scandium/titanium-

I know I can buy a reasonably good semi-auto or a good quality revolver for the cost of this deal

I have home defense covered, I have target/plinking covered, I have hunting covered, as far as I am concerned, and I don't believe in owning lots and lots of guns- so this needs to be a lifetime purchase, that will last a lifetime- (I know, I will get flamed for that comment:fire:)

I don't want to buy a gun and then end up:banghead:

I would appreciate any thoughts on what I may not be considering in this situation.

Thanks!

you have home defense covered, but what about personal defense/CCW?

It's not the snubby version is it? Personally, I think .45 ACP out of a 2" revolver is lacking.

If you have every gun you need (carry guns for any style of dress/weather, hunting, defensive, fun plinkers, etc), you should buy something that you REALLY want.

What really gets you excited?

P.S. I thought I read the title as "Should I bury it?" :D
