Does anyone have a clue as to the value of this pistol? The S#5451xx and looks to be 38 sp.
A friend bought it and has no idea of value.

Aw man! What a freaking beautiful Chief's Special! I wouldn't call it a pimp gun a "Gambler's Special" maybe...

If the engraving is aftrermarket the gun is likely in the $800 range , if factory it would be more . Perhaps in the $1,200 area.
