Ajax sambar stag grips purchased from a THR member.

The grips are a little proud along the bottom and near the top of the backstrap... I assume you can sand these but are there any caveats?

Yes...easy task! Work them as wood. I'd mark the proud area (while on the S&W) with a pencil. Then remove the grips from the gun and start sanding a little at a time...trying them back on for fit as you go.

If you have a buffing wheel, Tripoli (brown) buffing compound will bring on the shine.

These were big time proud around the rear and bottom. I did them as described above and then installed the medallions.
