I'm trying to find a 12 ga that would have the least amount of recoil and this one has been recommnended by several people -

Is it really that light a recoil as opposed to most other autoloaders (I've only used O/U's so far)

Any advice on cost for a new one or a slightly used one.

A gas action auto like the 1100 Remington or the Beretta 390-391s will give more reduction. Recoil and blowback actions like the Benellis, as I understand it do not cut kick all that much.

But...

Going to the more available all the time lighter loads works too. See the threads on 1 oz and 7/8 oz loads for input.

Better form and fit helps immensely also. Adding a premium pad is a given.
