Arnolds Latest Bozo Moment

So Arnold keeps publicly challenging Dufus to not sign any more bills. Gets a lot of TV soundbite time. Sounds great right?
Except that in California, just like in most states, when the governor doesn't sign a bill it becomes law automatically. So if Dufus does as Arnold asks ALL those pending bills become law. The governor's only real power is to VETO stuff. Bill signings are just ceremonial.
Now if Arnold actually spent the time to read the hundreds of bills still sitting on Dufus' desk and urged him to VETO certain ones, that might be smart. But instead he makes a fool of himself with anyone who knows basic civics.
Not a bright light bulb. Not a good start.
McClintock knew this stuff folks.

I love that he calls himself the peoples governor in the RPK and when he asked about winning after he voted and said its only up to god now as if the voters don't matter. Or when he was asked if he groped all those women and he said not all of them.

I'm no pro on the nuances of the CA veto, but, IIRC, if he returns it without a signiture, it's vetoed as Wilson did with SB 1067, SB 1500, etc. If it's tabled, it passes without signiture.
What's the cutoff date for bills left on the Governor's desk? I don't believe there's any stipulation about all bills being resolved before Gumby leaves office, or is there?

I'm no Arnie fan, but knowing all the in-and-outs of the bureaucratic machine does not necessarily make for a good leader. I'll bet Gumby knows all those procedures like the back of his hand. And look where that got you.

"...but knowing all the in-and-outs of the bureaucratic machine does not necessarily make for a good leader....
- Yea, but he doesn't even know that. How could he?
My biggest hope was that he would be moderate on gun control; I feel it's a fairly good bet he'll accomplish little in office, just like Jesse did. Actors should skip public office and run for "dictator" instead.

And so once again it is proven, that west-coast liberals love actors more than they hate republicans.

One things for sure - he's going to be a laugh a minute.
I hope we get at least ONE good thing out of this - if Arnold blows it as badly as I think he will, we just MIGHT get some real leadership in the Republiican party there. The current crop bet on Arnold - we can hope they sink with him.
Sink he will.

Have you guys read his biography? He's never failed at anything he's attempted. Wierd. It's amazing when ya think about the failures other ambitious folks have endured. He's a political animal, and his every move is intended to aquire more personal power. His confidence knows no bounds. Hell, sounds like Teddy Roosevelt in that respect.
No pro-2nd candidate had a chance this race. Buckle up for a wild ride. :)

I notice that none of Arnie's detractors are actually IN california. That speaks volumes to me. He may indeed be a crappy governor for MY state or for many others. But, as far as California goes they could do a HECK of a lot worse.
