What is the cleanest shooting 22 lr I can buy in a brick from like Wally World or Big 5?

Have a 22 conversion kit on my AR and damn it's dirty after just firing 50 rounds.

Each firearm has its druthers so I'd test to see what fouls less for you.
I prefer Winchester X22LR. Across the board this gives me the least fouling, best groups, and by far most reliable. This is not a "bargain" rd. I also like the Win PP for a HP load,( X22LRPP) again not a bargain load.

Bargain: Bulk Pack of the Fed No. 750 , which is is 36 gr HV CPHP. In SV if can find and gun will run it, The old Win. Dynapoint not bad.

Stay away from Winchester "Expert".

I have used CCI with no problems, but since I bought cases of X22lr and X22LRPP...haven't had a need to buy, others that do can better advise.

Hey 50 I've had really good luck with Winchester Dynapoints. 500 rounds for about 10.99 at your local Walmart.

I use only copper washed bullets because they foul the barrel less.

I had a xpert head blow out on me when I was shooting by a pond and it scared the ???? out of my and I dropped the rifle in the water. Would of had a bleeding face if I was left handed.

I kinda like Wolf Match Target for accuracy and reliability, but it's not the cleanest. Greasy to load, too. Dynapoints were pretty clean, IIRC. Pretty accurate, too. Hard to find around here, tho.

Do as the man says and STAY AWAY from the "Xperts." :barf:

Ditto on that! This stuff is awful. Inconsistent, dirty, and leads like nothing else I've seen. I put some through my Old Model Single Six and it leaded up the face of the barrel and the inside of the frame. I've had good results with other Winchester .22, such as Wildcats, T22s, and PowerPoints, though.

CCI makes good ammo that is widely available. Mini Mags are copper plated and available as solid or HPs. They've been accurate and clean in my guns.

CCI makes some nice clean stuff.
