Speedloader holder/protector for pocket?

Does anyone make something simple that covers the bullets in a speedloader, for tossing it in a pocket, backpack, tackle box, etc. with other random stuff like keys, pocket knives, lighters, or other small outdoor equipment?

SJHPs are pretty vulnerable, for example, and plastic snake loads are probably little better.

you are probably going to have to use a speedloader holder similar to this. it really is made for use on a belt, or strap, but it will work.

Maybe, for casual use, you could use the speed strip loaders. They are flat and would more easily and covertly fit in your pocket. For duty use, stick with the speed loader and belt case.

I know there are many who don't care for the speed strip, but it is a viable method to carry spare ammo for a revolver.

Try finding a cap from various aerosol can and see if your speed loader fits into them. A spray paint lid would probably be too big, but there are various sizes of lids found on different cans. You might even have one around the house somewhere

Go to a hardware store and see if you can liberate some of the soft vinyl pipe-thread protectors found on pre-threaded pipe.

Not sure if they will fit, but a 1" or 1 1/4" size might.

Somewhere on one of these forums I saw a nice setup using PVC pipe.

I could swear that someone (Blade Tech?) makes a kydex speedloader holder. If you remove the Tek-Lok, it's pretty minimal.

Simply Rugged makes a really nice leather speed loader case. I forget what I paid for mine but I think it was less then 30 bucks. You where it on your belt.

just grab some plastic egg-shaped m&m containers from the kids over Easter

(color choice is likely pink or blue pastel, however)

Can't imagine a speedloader in a pocket being either comfortable or discreet.

you don't remember Harry Callahan in Magnum Force?

actually my Safariland Comp-1 sits discreetly in my Sig Sauer hoodie pocket...plus it adds mass for when i sweep it back during a draw

This one from DeSantis is designed for riding atop the belt but would probably work for pocket use.

+1 for the DeSantis leather rig. If you need a reload the belt is a lot faster than fishing around a pocket. The DeSantis rig also has a "real" snap that relies on being pulled firmly which could be tough one handed. For speed strips you can get a discreet pouch or use an old tin from Altoids mint candy.
