I am buying some ammo (Prvi Partizan 7.5x55 Swiss) and the FMJ is actually more expensive than the soft point. Is there a reason for this? What advantages does the FMJ ammo have over soft point?

None, if you aren't required to use it by the Hague Conventions of Land Warfare.
FMJ is usually considered military ammo.
SP is considered hunting ammo.
If it is cheaper, that's for sure what I would use.
