The other day, the local media here in Louisville covered the Knob Creek Shoot.

We are all "nuts." We are all racist and nazis. We're paranoid. Check out this write up and view their corresponding links and photos. Feel free to comment on the article. You don't even have to register.

Are you really surprised at what this liberal has to say about guns?

The article states more than once that the neo-nazis and other fringe whackjobs were pretty much given the cold shoulder by the majority of people.

Certainly it's dismaying that the reporter spends so much time dwelling on idiot wingnuts. Perhaps the organizers of the Knob Creek shoot should be a little bit more picky about who they allow to have table space.

Not at all. But they've invited a discussion on the topic. Let's not be remiss to share our views with people confused about "real America."

Yes, this is what free speech is all about. People can say or believe what they want but I don't have to allow you to come to my house or event and spout that garbage. The organizers are doing the "gun culture" a disservice by allowing us to be associated by these idiots at all.

My comment....
If you have never been to Knob Creek then you should save your sneers N jeers for those that deserve it.

They are a well self policed group of law abiding citizens acting well within the confines of the law. More observant and aware of the law than the overwhelming majority, and less likely to become a criminal than anyone else.

There is a reason! Gun owners are not a paranoid lot by choice, but with a look at world history, every governmental registration scheme has ended up in confiscation. Which in turn has been a prelude to some totalitarian, obsessive form of oppression. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

Now in within the first few months of his Presidency Barack Husein Obama and congress have announced yet another gun law… Instead of enforcing the over 20,000 ones on the books their latest effort involves new gun bans, and registration, with his AG saying the Second Amendment and the US Constitution is of no protection!!!

So if every time you spit out your car window it flew back and went splat on your interior, wouldn’t you be a bit shy about just letting it fly?

Unfortunately this event draws a lot of people that look like they are going to a nascar race. I cringe when I hear news stories of any big shoot, and see an overweight bubba with a nascar shirt telling his views on guns.

What's wrong with people that go to NASCAR races? Talk about narrow minded.:fire: Maybe they should all dress in Ralph Lauren tuxes so they look like they just left the opera.

^ Thats an idea, maybe we could change the sterotype of the "gun owner". I don't see a negative here.
