I just bought a ball bag on Auction Arms, received it today and Im impressed with it. I stuffed 50 balls in it and started applying oil to stretch and soften it. I like the top. It only lets out one ball at a time. They are available in cow, elk or buffalo leather. I like them well enough that Im going to order one for each size ball I use. Has anyone else tried them?

I'vd got one made from a moose's ball sack. An indian friend gave it to me and told me he made it. I'vd never tried it and it dosen't look like it would hold too awful much anyway. It's not attractive or anything but it does look like it would be pretty functional....

I think thats what alot of the old ones were made of. They make a hell of a blackjack in a fight. too. The one I bought has an extra layer near the top so only one ball drops out at a time. I put 50 in mine. I didnt think it was big enough for that many but it works well.

There several made from deerskin but I don't know how "pourable" they would be one at a time like the type shown at the auction arms site.

I still need to figure just how I want to dispense the BP- 35 years ago I went with a flask with a spout trimmed to the desired fffg charge-
I still have both pistols- Uberti 1860 in 44 and a pocket in .31-

That Buffalo Ball Bag is very cool. That would be nice on your belt. Might look out of place with revolvers, more stylish with a front stuffer and powder horn.
