It came in the mail today -- my first Leatherman Wave (thanks to the suggestions from many THR members).
It looks great and I got a small unexpected bonus -- it says on it is the 20th Anniversary Edition Wave...cool.
:D  :D

Love mine!
Just wish the case rode lower on the belt.
Great tool.

It's a great piece, I can't go without it, it's just so nice to have around. It's like the kitchen sink the size of a pistol magazine.
Do you want my Blade-Tech pouch when I get mine in carbon fiber? I have one in stealth black (it's invisible) and it has a Tek-Lok clip.

Thanks, Skunk, but right now I plan on just keeping the Wave in my glove box (my Royal Robbins are too full of "tactical stuff", including a Leatherman Micra a LEO friend gave me, already).
So far, the Wave is excellent, and I really like the feature of having access to the locking blades without having to open the multi-tool.
:D :p :D

Sure a Micra on the belt beats the Wave in the glovebox...but it's just a pair of scissors with a knife on it!! :neener:

Skunk-
Do you use the Blade-Tech Nylon utility pouch, or their Multi-Tool pouch? Does it keep the Leatherman closer to your body than the one that comes with the tool? I hate the way my leatherman moves around on my belt, but $25 on a holder for my leatherman seems a bit much (especially when I'm lusting after a Surefire, among other things).

Skunk,
When you get rid of your Blade-Tech in Stealth Black, give me first shot at it. I had one but lost it recently. :( Spousal unit bought me a new Wave, but have not replaced the sheath yet.

Zer000, $25 is a lot but the thing is practically permanently attached to me. The Teklok holds it out far. It's easy to get to, but it 'prints' under your shirt if that matters.
Techbrute, roger that!
PS the Blade-Tech carbon fiber is

Thanks. I'd offer to trade for it, but most of what I have you can't possess out there. :banghead: Luckily, California still takes US Cash. ;) Anyway, let me know if there's anything you're currently on the prowl for.

Thanks for the info, I'll look into getting one when I've got some extra cash lying around. Did you get it straight from Blade-tech, or do they have them elsewhere?

I got it straight from Blade-Tech. I saw some of their stuff at Turner's but not sure if it was from the injection molded line and was for mainstream stuff like Glocks and 1911s.

Turner's carries the injection molded line. The wave sheath is a custom kydex order (or at least it was back when I got mine a couple years ago.)

I just ordered the CF one...should be here in 3-ish weeks :(
It's a catalog item now, IIRC I saw it in the pdf catalog on their site.

I showed my new Wave to a good friend today.
He going to buy one for himself tomorrow!
Where do I collect my sales commission from Leatherman?
:D :p :D
