A political mudpit?

This would be an interesting subforum you could make so some can casually blow off some steam and debate the more polarizing aspects of progun vs. anti-gun politics.

Just a suggestion.

Not happening. We used to have a Legal and Political forum. We don't any longer. There is a reason for that.....The membership is incapable of discussing politics and furthering THR's mission of promoting responsible firearms ownership. The two are not compatible.

The question comes up frequently enough we have a FAQ (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=350166) on it here in Tech.

As Jeff said, not gonna happen because we tried and it was a disaster.

But, consider this, what good does it do to provide a place for a bunch of folks to cry in their beer and beat their chests and posture and weep? It doesn't get anything accomplished. Matter of fact, it interferes with doing anything constructive.

So, since RKBA and 2A rights are both social and political in nature should they be neglected?

No, of course not.

We opened Activism and Activism Discussion after the L&P had the "pee" pulled out of it so people that wanted to actually DO something could help make a positive difference for the RKBA community. Folks that can't be bothered to work to protect/restore their rights have plenty of other places to do that in.

So, no, we'll probably never have a general politics or RKBA politics discussion forum again since we provide a place to try to get some good work done for the community.

Also note that link in the top right corner of the page that says APS.

Click on that, I think what you're looking for is there.

APS is a very poor forum, and not worth going too. There is very little traffic there, very few people with opposing views, and not much useful discussion.

I agree Lone Gunman, but that's the closest thing to what the OP is asking for that THR has to offer.
