anyone have this happen?

My just arrived new knife (Benchmade AXIS AFCK 802 3.9") sticks in the open position. Something about the release knob is sticking, or gritty. Maybe grease, maybe pitting. But the folding knife is stuck OPEN.

HELP. Before I take a tool and pry the release off the blade.

Nah, it's not.

I have the same knife, and it happened to me when I flicked the knife open without disengaging the axis lock first. Just grasp the lock with your fingers on both sides and pull with all your might. You may need a towel or something to get a better grip. Oh, and be careful that you don't cut yourself!

After the knife is "broken in," you can flick it open as much as you want and it won't get stuck again.
