Anyone have a good, light, plinking load for a .303 Savage? I'll save the 180 and 190gr on top of full loads I have for hunting, but I'd like something light (easy on the brass) to shoot at the range for fun. Gotta make this brass last, ya know? Anyone have anything that shoots a light bullet (115 to 125gr) at around 1400 fps or so?

Just as general interest (I know how the old Savages pull folks out of the woodwork), it's a model 99A and was made in 1926. I'm the second owner and have had it since 1961.

The 30-30 nearly duplicates the Savage 303 in case capacity.
www.hodgdon.com has some lower velocity loads for the 30-30 listed. I would feel safe using the data for the 30-30 in the Savage 303 as they are very low pressure. It would work best with cast bullets and they would be much cheaper to load.
