I was recently given two boxes of Hornady 240 gr HP/XTP and one box of Hornady 200 gr HP/XTP. All of these have a bullet dia of .430". I have several reloading manuals (none of which are Hornady) and they all list a bullet dia of .429 for 44 cal jacketed bullets. I do see lead SWC's in .430" dia but not jacketed bullets. Are these safe to load for a Model 29 S & W and if so do I need to follow only Hornady load data? I know it's only a thousandth of an inch but my calipers can pick it up.

I just checked the hornady reloading manual you are cool. They are listed as a .430 dia what powder are you using. I can give you there load data if you want.

Awesome! I was beginning to wander if they were only for muzzleloaders or somethong like that. I use a lot of Unique, AA #5, and I also have some W296. Thanks!
