In the Official THR Walker thread a question was raised about posting pictures from Photobucket. This thread attempts to provide the details of that process. It expands on the information provided in the 'Posting Photos: 10 Easy Steps' by A. Walker.

That post does not cover using Photobucket specifically; it just says to get the address of the image and then covers how to put it into your post. Here’s a step-by-step description of the process using Photobucket:

1) You don’t need to place the cursor in your new post to start the process; in fact you don’t even need to have the new post window open. However, we’ll assume that you’ve started a new post and go from there. Here’s what it looks like on my computer; yours should be similar, using the Quick Reply window (the Advanced Reply window or the New Message window will have the features we need also):
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg1.jpg

2) Open your Photobucket window and locate the image you want to place in the THR message; in this case I’ll choose my Uberti Walker.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg2.jpg

3) Move the cursor to the image and a window will open below it with three choices.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg3.jpg

4) Left click in the middle window and it will be highlighted, then right click in the window and select Copy.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg4.jpg

5) Now go back to the THR Quick Reply window and select the image icon above the window.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg5.jpg

6) This will open a new window.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg6.jpg

7) Right click in the window and select Paste.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg7.jpg

8) That will put the Photobucket address of your selected image in the window. Click on the OK button.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg8.jpg

9) A line of text will be placed in your message at the cursor location. The text is the Photobucket address with image codes preceding and following it.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg9.jpg

10) When your message is posted this line will be replaced by the image you selected. You can check this by clicking on Preview Post.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg10.jpg

4A) Photobucket also provides an alternative that will shorten the process. In Step 4, you can select the bottom option instead of the middle one:
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg11.jpg

5A) Now go back to the THR Quick Reply window, but instead of selecting the image icon, simply right click in the window where you want the image and select Paste
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg12.jpg

9A) This places the image address in the window with the preceding and following image tags already attached, skipping Steps 6, 7 and 8.
http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o254/mykealsm/THR%20Tutorial/TutorialPg9.jpg

10A) Step 10 occurs as above.

Scrat, thanks good buddy. Clicking on paste (couldn't remember what it was called) after clicking on IMG was the way I was doing it back then. Quick and simple.
Appreciate the trouble you went to. I'll post a few pictures over the next couple of days. 14th Alabama CSA.

I use method 4a as well.

GOC is confused as he doesn't understand his PB address, and is unable for the moment to pass it on to anyone.

I was interested in making sure his PB was working correctly.

Macmac, I'm trying to get everything understood and straight in my mind again. I appreciate all you're doing to help me. I know you're good people. I'vd been reading you on here for a long time. Always enjoy your posts.
The computers were turned off and put away for I guess over a year except for like maybe 15 minutes at a time. I was busy as hell up here. Lot's of stuff on my mind. Getting my shelter (travel trailer) set up and making sure it wouldn't blow all to pieces in these 60, 70, 80. and sometimes higher winds. Stocking in my food, my fuel, my water, (although snow or ice will do just fine in a pinch) and a thousand and one other things. Wintering down way out here on the high plains is not something one takes lightly if one want's to live through the winter. Every day is a challenge. Stay snowed in most of the winter. Can't get out and no one can get in. No one to help you if you have a problem and no real way to let anyone even know you have a problem. Things are getting better now. I'm getting my place and communications fixed up and next winter should be a lot easier on me. This last winter was real hard on me, but I had shelter and managed to keep myself warm and well fed, so I made it through alright. It's kind of rough just coming up here and starting over from scratch so to speak. "Oh, well! By God I think I'll just go live in Wyoming! They don't call Wyoming 'God's Country' for nothing! I'vd got some land way out there in the middle of no where! I'll go live on it. It belong's to me and ain't no sonofabitch gonna come out there on my little 36 acres and tell me I can't shoot my '47 (Walker) because it make's too much noise, family member or not." So here I be and here's where I'll stay, thank you very much!
Anyway, I'vd been updating my computers and have them all top of the line again. (I use first one and then the other just depending on what mood I'm in) Photobucket is the only thing I really couldn't remember. After I started messing around with them everything else came back to me.. 14th Alabama CSA..

On the photobucket page there is a link box next to the word "Direct LINK"

They may warn you not to use this in forum posts etc and want you to use thumbnail links instead.

But simply copy (Ctrl-C) the direct link of your new photo you just uploaded, come over to this (Or any other forum) and CTRL-V into paste into the message box.

The forum will automatically wrap the tags around your new link and make it active.

GOC, Look right now at the top of this page. There is address just under BACK FORWARD STOP REFESH and bla bla bla...

It looks like this for the moment

address http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=5520114&posted=1#post5520114

This is the address to this page.. I highlited it,just like I might have tried unsuccessfully to delete it.. Just the way that in the other thread you said something, then decided for what ever reasons to delete it and made it be XXXX... I don't know what you said... I don't care what you said and so made it XXXX.

Simple fact is I like you, for a faceless geezer, and want to help.

If you can go to photbucket and copy the address and put it here in this post, or the other post I can check it out.

I do not want the pass word, just the address, and I hope you made the albums public or shared.

If you do this maybe you won't be faceless anymore to me.

If you do this I can test something and would choose a picture as a test and put it in this thread, of a walker or something...

mykeal has made a good set of instructions, and I believe you should work with him or me to get the pics and the know how.

His method 4a is the easy way and is the way I do it. I just want to make sure there is no glitch stopping you.

This did not work when I tried it. The forum did not attach the image tags as you said. You have confused the Direct Link and IMG Code boxes.

Using the Direct Link method requires the use of the image icon in the forum's toolbox; this is the method under Step 4 in my first post.

Pasting the image address directly from Photobucket with the image codes attached requires the use of the IMG Code method, which is Step 4A in my post.

Mr. MyKeal, I wasn't aware that you were the one who posted the instructions. Thank you very much, sir..

Macmac, I'm gonna work on posting a couple of photos in about 15 minutes. One of them will be me. If I do not have it worked out this time then I will get back with you and we will work together on it. If it does work then the photos will probably go to the Walker club..
