Hey guys proud owner of a new rem 700 here just bought it today so i don't have it yet, damn waiting period. Anyways got it out the door for $500 at Walmart, they also had a Savage there for about $100 less than the rem, and to be honest i did like the action on the Savage better, but the rem was a 3006 and i just could not pass that up. Anyways was that a good deal or would i be better off going with the Savage? O the Rem did come with one of them cheap factory scopes (will change latter) and the finish on it was camo.

Congrats on the Remington. Cant go wrong with .30/06. I have a Rem CDL in .30/06 and it knocks over here pretty good.
