Anyone know why they have almost zero handgun inventory right now?

It's the same reason as handgun ammo is all sold out - higher demand for guns and ammo due to the current political climate and fear that with democrats in congress and the white house, that a new round of gun control is forthcoming.

Oh great! Just this morning I recommended Davidson's as a prime source for Ruger revolvers.

The Old Fuff is going to give up and go hide under the bed... :banghead:

They usually ARE.

Right now, you can get a few Ruger commemoratives, and not much else.

Agree with other posters that they have most likely sold out of inventory. Though they do have Ruger RH .480 revolvers in stock. Check "Trader Jerry's Davidsons"

Where's the best place to pick up one of the older S&W 5906s or other Smiths?

Understand that these days one does not usually "pick up." It's more a case of "grab and run," and the luck of the draw. What ever you expect to get has someone else running after it too.

However, a while back CDNN Sports had some police trade-in model 5906 Smith & Wesson's. "Very Good to Excellent."

With plain fixed sights = $329.99
Novak style Night Sights = $349.99

Each with one (1) hi-cap magazine.

Well, with the NRA national convention coming to Phoenix maybe they'll get something? I noticed it too, on their website anyway...

The Old Fuff is going to give up and go hide under the bed...

Be careful. With the way things have been, it's probably pretty crowded under there.
