Hey guys-

The link above brings you a very interesting article that I found about this senseless and tragic event.

"These are kids with serious psychological problems."

Yep, I figured that one out the day it happened. Not bullied? No surprise, there never was any evidence that I heard about. Interesting summary, but nothing new. I never did figure out how they built so many bombs that didn't go off. Didn't they have access to an internet connection?

Worst part is, I learned all of this and more when I dealt with such a situation during my first high school principalship here in Michigan. Odd the report doesn't address the administrative failures. Perhaps instead of studying school shootings, these idiots should have been studying schools whose administrators worked with the various LEO agencies and prevented such events. I guess that would make too much sense.

Very very intersting read.

personally I had NO IDEA they had made so many explosive devices, or that they were planning to blow rescue teams and parents after their own death with bombs in their cars..

It strangely reminds me the terrorist bombing in the movie "the kingdom"

What scarces me a lot, is when I watch Harris picture.. hey, that kid just looks like he could have been a good friend of mine..

Read the two stories this morning; found them interesting. Still ... I know these two used guns, but I'm not sure how this is gun-related for purposes of The High Road.

Just a general observation, and not meant as a hijack. It seems to me that the media is upping the stakes in the battle to take our rights. ABC pulled the crap they did, there was a story on Virginia tech running on yahoo earlier today, and now this 're-analysis' of Columbine, which is really pouring salt in an old would. Is it actually informative of anything new, or is it really just meant to pour salt in the would?

You know, I would love to have ABC news call me, and talk with me about the fact that the State Police here in Michigan tried their darnedest to compel me to carry a pistol, during that school school. I mean serious leaning on me to carry! Like an idiot I refused. As such, seems to be that LEO agencies are not against armed educators. Live (fortunately I did) and learn. If I faced this situation again, I assure you, I would be carrying and so would several other key figures in the school.

The greatest difference between C.H.S. and my H.S. situation is that I faced the fool down each and every time he came to campus. You ever come face-to-face with a fool packin' a loaded machine gun?! Tell me when you do. I don't talk about it much, but it was one Hades of a school year!
