Well as many of you know I sold a SIG P225 that I have dearly missed and I have wanted to get another to replace it but had resigned myself to not doing so anytime soon since the prices are pretty high around here and the magazines are getting a little tougher to come buy and are getting very pricy.

Well next thing I know I find a guy locally selling his P225, 10 magazines, 5 of which are new in wrapper, a Kramer IWB holster, SIGARMs cleaning kit etc. It is an original proofmarked West German with original box and paperwork.

Well I go to check it out and the finish shows some holster wear but the internals look brand new. Either the gun didn't get shot much or this guy is a toothpick, Qtip gun cleaning kind of guy after my own heart. The guy turns out to be a local LEO and really took care of this gun and the magazines and had really understated the firearms condition. He told me he had never had a malfunction of any kind with it and I took that with a grain of salt but what the heck it looked good, was well cared for and had all the magazines I would want. No NICS, No hassals, no problems.

First range session I put a hundred rounds of WIN bulk pack 9mm because that stuff usually will cause a malfunction from time to time and the gun never missed a beat. It was accurate and very very smooth.

My only slightly negative observation is the double action trigger is slightly heavier then any of the other SIGs I have shot but I have been told this is common with the West German P225s.

I am thrilled. Little kid on Christmas happy. It was the only gun I ever regretted trading or selling. Never again I tell ya.

Anyway just though I would share my exuberation.

Chris :D

What looks to be holster wear on the front is actually the flash reflecting off of the blue.

It doesn't even have decocker scrapes.

The P225 is one of my favorite semi-autos, right below its big brother the P220.

Congrats on your acquisition.

I love a story with a happy ending.

Now that you've got your P225 back, it's time to get sheslinger that M1 Carbine she wants...

I posted a thread over at the Sigforum that was titled the Prodigal Sig Returns.

The Carbine for Sheslinger is next....I promise...really.
