I found the elevation and windage adjustments to be uncertain.
Not much change; then way too much. What is the best method
for sight in with this device?

They work exactly as designed on mine. They are 1/2 minute clicks, or 1/2" at 100 yards - 1/4" at 50 yards - 1/8" at 25 yards - almost 1/16" at 11 yards as on the boresight target.

Use this to bore sight at 10 meters/11 yards.

Use this to finish sighting in at 25 meters/27 yards.

Finish fine-tuning at 100 or more.

thanks, that will save ammo. Three shot groups cost one dollar.

Making sure that you apply pressure on the side of the sights when applying get you close to the factory center. First mount while not following that step left me about three inches right on point of impact at about ten yards. Kinda weird that I had to do that, but it made a huge difference.

Just goes to show, not all mil-spec rails are mil-spec.
