I want to buy a bullet mold for making 308 Winchester bullets--I envision I'll likely used wheel weight or linotype alloy depending on how stiff I want to load. But for the moment I can afford one. What style and weight should I get?

I don't want this to be a brand war. It'll probably be Lee because that's my budget.

Try the Lyman 311041 bullet mold. It is a 173 grain bullet.

I loaded this bullet in a M1a. It functioned through the magazine. I think the velocities were too high, and the groups were not good. I am going to cut my charge and try for 1700 fps next time. I have not gone out with reduced loads, but my data might give you a place not to start.
