MBAR action w/ M39

Went to my first local club sponsored MBAR this morning. Used my 1942 (SAKO) Finn Mosin M39.

I have to give thanks to fellow THR member PTK, as I used a handload I got from him in 7.62x54r. 46gr of H4895 over a Hornady 150gr SP (.312 dia) worked very well.



Here is a pic of my zero target. Targets for score were taped over top of this one. The ragged hole (50 rounds worth), has me thinking it was a good day. Our results are not in yet but I think I did fairly well.

Ended up 4th overall out of 10. There were some salty old timers out there. One of them went 100-5x on the last round. :eek:

Need to get that group lowered about an inch and a half and maybe I'll give them a run for their money. ;)
