Can any people with ACOG's, or experience using ACOG's, please comment on this thread.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=413080

Basically, I just bought a new TA31F (4x32 with Red Chevron and BDC).

I see no tritium glow.

I barely see the Red Chevron when in the loft at night even after 5 minutes.

I definetely cannot see the BDC which means its worthless outside 100 yards, and the chevron is so weak, I'm not sure that is useful either.

Is this normal for a tritium powered ACOG ?

Comments from any Marines, Army etc. that have used them would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...Martin

Mine works fine. Yes, the chevron is dim at night, but in a low or no light situation, I prefer it. I have the light bar on top partially covered because it is too bright in day.

Yours is working like it should. At night, without NVG, you will not be able to make a REAL precision shot past 100 yards. The chevron itself gives you the 100, 200, and 300 yard sighting references.

I wouldn't trade for mine.
