Hornady Critical Defense ammo???

I was reading about Hornady Critical Defense ammo. I was wondering if anyone has used this ammo or tested its expansion capability in the real world and not the advertised effectiveness. Especially, the .38 Special +P and the 9mm Luger calibers.

I was think about picking some up, then I read the FBI just adopted Winchesters PDX1 ammo.
