I thought Ruger made a polymer .40, similar to the P97 in .45. Do they not? Also, is the P94/.40 very bulky, like the P90 is?
Thanks,
Steve

I don't know of a polymer Ruger in .40 auto. I had a P944, and yes, it is bulky and blocky. IIRC, it was a little shorter than the P90.

There are rumors(and you know what they are worth) that Ruger is coming out with some new autos soon. Perhaps they will address the lack of a plastic .40.

spend the money on something nicer like a Steyr m40,springfield XD40 or a glock23.
steyr can be had for $300-$400
xd $429
glock 23 used $350 new $400-500

For my part, I'd take a Ruger over a Steyr any day.
