Hello, can anyone help ID a S&W 38 CTG, The # on butt is D19269, I dont' know a whole about hand guns. It looks old but is in good condition. Thanks for your help.

Swing out the cylinder and in the yoke cut look for (mod. ##-#) and report back also the finish the barrel length from face of cylinder to end of barrel, type of rear sight. A picture would be great. According to the Serial number provided it was produced in 1968. I'd almost be willing to bet it will be a model 10-6.

You're out of your mind. LOL LOL:neener: It could be a -5; could even be a model 12 or model 14 but I'd bet it's a 10.
