Got my new Kimber this morning

Picked up my blued Custom II this morning, had to hang around the shop until the UPS truck pulled in. Felt like a kid a Christmas when the driver started bringing all those boxes in.
This is my first 1911 and the most expensive gun I ever bought (not saying much for my collection, huh?).
Brought the baby home and gave it a bath. Everythings nice & tight, trigger feels good, breaks nice & crisp at 3.75 pounds.
I've got a bunch of ammo loaded up, dealer threw in a box of S&B 230gr ball. Just as soon as it gets above freezing out I'm headed to the range.

Why wait, wear gloves. Nothing like a little harsh weather testing. I couldn't wait.:)

Congrats to you! I'm coming up on the one-year anniversary of the purchase of my Kimber Custom (before the II-series came out). This has been my most expensive firearm purchase, too, and without a doubt my best so far.

That Kimber is going to make you a very happy camper. I got my in Dec, and I have only been able to put 100 rounds thought it. Every round was pure bliss!!! To this point Very Reliable!
