The first person who emails me at david@personaldefensetraining.com will receive a complimentary slot in a Handgun III course I'll be conducting at South River Gun Club in Conyers (about 45 minutes East of Atlanta) on 12/28/02 from 8-6. You MUST state in your email which forum you saw this on, you MUST be able to attend and be qualified to do so (NRA Basic pistol, Personal Protection, IDPA marksman level, or other suitable training).
Here is the course description:
This course focuses on the "Combat Triad" of Mindset, Gunhandling, and Marksmanship which are three essentials of winning a gunfight.
The intent of this course is to take the student to the next level
beyond the basic classes. You will review gun safety, fundamentals such as marksmanship, sight alignment and trigger control and progress toward more advanced subjects. You will learn presentations from retention and the holster, malfunction clearing, speed reloading and you will be exposed to the mental conditioning side of defensive shooting with topics such as situational awareness, use of deadly force and the OODA loop. This 10 hour course will be taught through a combination of lecture, demonstration and shooting drills. A certificate of training will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete the course. Equipment required: servicable handgun, holster, belt, at least 2 spare mags or speedloaders, eye & ear protection, suitable clothing, 300-500 rounds of ammo.
