Just picked this Shotgun up this evening. Filled out the usual Yellow paperwork (No Problem, if it stops one felon from purchasing a gun from an FFL.) Picked this one up on Auction and I really feel as if I got a great deal. Nicely made shotgun. a Remington Spartan SPR 100 Sporting 20 gauge, single barrel (Ported) with a nickel receiver. Unique hammerless. New with box and manual, plus 4 choke tubes and choke tube wrench. Price paid $130.00 plus tax and paperwork Auction fee. Model 89672 listed on the Remington/Spartan website at $256.99. What do you think?

I think that you did very, very well for the price you paid. Now all you have to do it to try to wear it out for the fun of it.

Is the finish as rough as some say it is?

Nice looking shotgun, although I doubt a felon would even give it a second glance at an auction or a gun store. ;)

Finish is very nice, no problems. Everything is put together very well also. Would definately not rule out another Remington Spartan. That being said, there are also alot of other real nice lower end shotguns to consider as well. Really like the Stoeger Condor O/U.
