I was sad to hear that one of our favorite local shops was calling it quits but being the intrepid bargain hunter I am I headed west to Dean's firearms and made some silly purchases.

1 genuine k-line military rifle sling. (now on my un-military Marlin model 995)
2 HKS DS-A speedloaders (hmm I now have SIX of these?)
1 set carbide reloading dies 357 maximum.. (I'm not sure if I have dies for this or not I have ammo.. but all my relaoding stuff is boxed up at the moment.. anyway at the price I couldn't pass it up, even as spare parts)
1 box (250) 158gr sjhp .357 Nosler bullets (running low on .357 ammo)
2 boxes (100 ea.) 30 cal 220gr RNSP Hornady Interlock bullets (yeah take that Bullwinkle)
2 boxes winchester 25acp ammo. (50 ea)

Spent LESS than a hundred bucks.

Anyone else been buying doo-dads?

Haven't been buying anything lately, but have been squirelling some money away for the next gun show at the end of the month.

Will be after the following..

Mags for my 92FS
Otis cleaning kit
Bore brushes (always buy a few every gunb show)
Projectiles .224, .311 and 9mm, Brass as well.
Maybe a Lee Collet die or two.
Some "spare" parts for my SMLE. Haven't broken anything yet, but with the price of parts, it's too hard to pass up.
Always on the look out for a steel 10 shot mag for my CZ. Little buggers are hard to find in Aus.

Other than that, will just be on the prowl for anything that I might need in the future. I have been trying to work out how to break the news to the wife that I want a .270. Maybe if I buy the dies and a few bags of brass and then plead my case she will understand??? I'll have to pick my moment and roll the dice.

Dean's is still open? :confused: I dropped in about two months ago and they were having a going-out-of-business sale, and it looked like everything was selling out quickly... (on your original subject, I went in looking for a target stand and left with ammo, cleaning gear, gun socks, more ammo and bullets...but no stand :))

Dean's on West Colfax, they carried a lot of black powder supplies and guns.
