I don't know what happened to me, I never really liked nickel revolvers. I always thought they were too flashy and pimpish. I've been needing a 6" 27 or 28 to use as a shooter. I found this shiney Model 27-2 at a local shop and it followed me home. It's very clean and came with the wooden presentation case and paper work.

All I need now are some nice stag magnas.
Are there any other nickel fans here? Let's see some pics!

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond
Personally I luv Nickle,,,so does my wife. I'd say roughly 1/3 of the guns we own are Nickle. I'd post a pic of my 2 Model 19 Nickle's - one in 6" and the other in 4", but they aren't anything out of the ordinary.
A 27 OTOH,,in Nickle,,is kind of a few and far between kind of bird. Nice score.
Wait till you shoot that puppy.... Let me know how you like the sights.

Sold this one after many years of enjoyment. Being anal, I had to have it absolutely pristine, 'cause the nickle shows every trace of burnt powder - was often reluctant to shoot it because it takes so long to return it to pristine condition.

Very pretty. I see more nickel S&Ws in my future.
I know what you mean. I find my nickel Model 15 is easier to clean up since I started keeping a coat of Flitz wax on it. I use lead away cloth only on the cylinder face with good results and no harm to the finish.
