I definitely prefer Wood furniture but in the interim while I scour for some nice Police furniture in Walnut I'm going to throw on a synthetic setup. I'm leaning towards either the 12" L.O.P. Hogue Overmolded stock and forend kit Or A Choate body armor "youth" 11 3/4" L.O.P. full stock/pistol grip combo. But I'm not even sure if the Choate model has any kind of recoil pad on it...and it costs more. Feel free to recommend another stock....but these two are in the front running. I am not a fan of SpecOps stocks OR the price tag on them....thanks for the input as always guys.

The Houge short stock is good, you can add a slip on if you find almost an inch longer is right. The Houge grip and shape is very, very good in practice. A synthetic foreend with a molded in Pic rail LIKE the Surefire aluminum rail model is about $30 and will solve your light problems readily. The Houge forend is pretty heavy and a bit bulky IMHO. The Choate stuff is well made but their pads are shoulder chisels!

I love the feel and handiness of my short Hogue but I'm not crazy about the recoil pad it came with.

Speedfeed IV or Speedfeed IV-S if you can find it. You give up the extra shell slots (which I don't find that useful anyway) and you get a 1" reduction in LOP. Definitely makes it better handling.

I voted the stock it comes with. If it is wood keep in mind that police used to use wood too and it looked great to me. If it is a bright finish buff it down with 1000 grit paper or steel wool.
