most popular rifles

Just kinda curious here, regarding "military" looking sporting rifles(yeah I do just like the appearance...).
I currently have an ar, and an ak.
From what I've read the next required purchase seems to be a FAL(I'm enjoying the collecting just as much as the shooting atm lol).
But I am wondering are there any other rifles that are a must have?
Only other options I can think off might be a M1(not a huge fan), and then perhaps a HK 91/G3(a little more $ w/o going w/CETME).

Only semi-autos?
If you add bolt guns, there are many popular models. Enfield, Noisy Magnet, etc.

Yeah, does it have to be semi-auto? And is it just for having fun shooting, or do you have some more specific purpose in mind?

Just plinking atm, no other real purpose I suppose...
I'll have to investigate some bolt-guns but atm I'm mainly interested in semi's.

For me an AR and an FAL are must haves. Beyond those two, I also must have as many C&R bolt actions as I can get my hands on. My wife told me last night that I have to stop buying things if I have no where to put them...what that really meant was that I couldn't put a case of Yugo 8mm in the hall closet. :D :D :D
I got my first RC 98k the other day. I swear I'm hooked.

This is unfortunate if by "M1" you mean rifle and not carbine. I am assuming, though, that you mean the carbine since it is closer in fuction to your AR and AK than is the more powerful "Garand". The M1 "Garand" is a VERY fine weapon that can be had very cheaply thru the CMP. As a self professed Military semi-auto lover, this is a must have.

As someone in the banking industry; I would frown on someone shooting My Automated Teller Machine....unless it's in season and you have the proper tags:D

A couple more of the collection "must haves" are a 1903A3, M1A (M14) and a SKS. With the abundance of low cost SKSs on the market and inexpensive ammunition , there is no reason not to have one.

Nothing can beat an M-44 for loud, cheap fun. Shoots 7.62x54r, which is slightly more powerful than .30-06, out of a 20" barrel :what: . Huge muzzle flash, huge recoil, big bang. Not very accurate, but ammo's cheap. Last I checked, a 70 round bandoier with stripper clips is only about $6. Of course, if you want something unique, the K-31 is awesome. Quick action, very accurate, very eregronomic. Don't expect to find 70 rounds for $6 though...

Other Milslurp semi's:
Soviet Svd-38 or -40 Tokarev. 7.62 x 54R.
French MAS 49/56. 7.5 French or .308 conversion.
FN-49. 7 x 57, 8mm Mauser, and 30-06, I think.
Egyptian Rashiid, 8mm Mauser.
There's a couple more I can't remember off the top of my head.

"Egyptian Rashiid, 8mm Mauser."
The Rashid is in 7.62x39mm. I believe you're thinking Hakim, which would be 8mm.
