Anyone have a good load for 158 gr lead in the 9mm that makes 125k PF - I have Clays,W231,Hs6 and PowerPistol on hand - no Unique or Solo1k.
I was thinking 3gr W231.
Joe? You started it.

You will want to make sure that the lead bullets are .355 or .356. Most lead 158gr bullets are .358- and that would be pretty tight for a 9mm barrel. There are plenty of 147 gr bullets specifically for 9mm or even some 150gr,
.356 lead bullets for .38 Super that would work.
That being said, Clays is a good powder for heavy bullet minor loads.

I shot the 158 today with 3g w231 and it gave 783 fps - very consistent and accurate - I will try again with 3.2 and see what happens. My bet is it will work ok.. I have the 147s nailed down pretty well so they work just fine, but I have seen Joe Day shoot and his are very quiet, accurate enough (Joe needs to practice:uhoh:) and certainly evidence no recoil.
Joe maintains that Clays would not let his heavy bullets stabilize in the Glock, but I am shooting a conventional rifled barrel so it might work in mine - bound to be getting a bit close to the pressure limits with clays and a little tricky.

For 154gr lead RNs, work up to 4.5gr of Winchester 540, Fed. 100 primer.
This makes minor PF, but I don't recall the velocity.
