Hi folks. Just a quick question here. I have a Makarov and while cleaning it today I ran a 9mm bore brush through the barrel and it was pretty loose. Does the 9x18 cartridge have a wider diameter than the 9mm?

Hello. Yes, it's a .363 to .364" diameter rather than the .355 to .356" of the 9x19mm.

Like already answered the Mak is a slightly larger diameter. It should really be called the 9.2x18. The brush being a bit loose isn't too bad, as all Maks have chromed barrels, which won't need as much 'scrubbing' to clean.
