Scope Advice for Cooper Rifle

I have a Cooper 57 LVT .17 HMR coming my way, and I could use your advice on which Leupold scope to purchase. I'm looking for excellent quality. I'll have it a long time, and I don't want a great rifle and mediocre scope.

Main purpose is target shooting, from 25 to 100 yards.

Maybe the VX3 6.5-20 EFR Target AO

You seldom hear a target shooter complain of too much power.
You need the EFR (Extended Focus Range) if you wish to shoot as close as 25 yards.
The AO (Adjustable Objective) is for accurate shooting at different ranges.
The Target knobs are a great convenience sighting in and changing ranges.
