I want to get some springs to lower the trigger load to 19 pounds instead of 22...thats as low as I can find at the moment. Question is, will it affect my SA or 3 pounds?

I changed out my hammer spring to a lighter one, but had light primer hits in DA. The trigger lighten up quite a bit, and fired every time in SA. All ruger P series guns take the same spring, they might list one for the 345 now, but didn't when I had mine. I'd leave it alone if its a carry gun, but for the range, tinker away:)

I had replaced my trigger springs on my P345 soon after I purchased it and fired several boxes of ammo thru it.. Brownells sells a three spring kit (believe they were made by Wolff). My DA pull was reduced considerably and there was no effect on my SA pull. This might be a forbidden subject here, but if your magazine safety happened to fall out accidently, your DA pull will improve quite a bit w/o changing out springs. JMHO :)

How dare you suggest something so dangerous!!:D

I lost my plunger and spring, but really didn't help anything eccept it allowed my mags to dropped free. I think Ruger had a few designs on this, as my mag safety was dissabled by inserting a mag, pushing the spring loaded ejector back in the magwell, lifting the FPB plunger in the slide. The trigger had nothing to do with it, in my perticular model.

Guys: Please disregard my previous post for I had a brief case of Senioritiis where you manage to put you head up your rectum. To set the record straight, the removal of the magazine safety has absolutly nothing to do with the trigger pull and I do apologize to anyone I confused with my comments. I was thinking of my Browning Hi-Power where the mag safety has a direct bearing on the trigger pull and instead confused it with the Ruger P345. Time for my nap and meds now. :o

I look at it this way. My P345 functions perfectly, hits right where I aim it, never has failed me, and it is my CCW firearm. I bet my life on it.

It ain't broke, so why mess with it?

My last comment is that any magazine safety is dangerous and could get you killed if you lose or inadvertently drop your mag . I was trained with and used a 1911A1 in the army and I would have least had a single shot pistol w/o a mag. Sorry people, I just don't want or need a lawyer proof pistol! Just don't get me started on the built in gun lock on my P345. :cuss:

wow, good info. Yea its a carry gun, no I don't have any plans to take out the mag DC. I like the feature, because just in case someone tries to take it, I click the button and punch them in the face.
