I just bought a Sentry gun safe over the weekend and my wifes been complaining about the smell ever since I brought it in the house.....
Any ideas as to how to get rid of the smell???

This may seem like a small problem but I know I wont hear the end of it until the smells gone.....Honestly I dont like the smell much either.......Thanks for any advice!!!drf

Seriously, though, can you tell where the smell is coming from? Carpeting in the interior?

If so, try Fabreeze. It's a spray on fabric deodorizer you can get in the grocery store.

It goes away after a while. Grin and bear it for a bit. Or pop open a can of South African .303 Brit next to the safe. She wont be complaining about the safe anymore. :D

Depends..interior or exterior funk?

If its interior then just leave some Hoppes #9 on a cottonball in the safe. That's what its gonna end up smelling like anyway! :D

But if you on insist on a more "unsafe" smell, Fabreeze or a stickup will work just fine. Remember the commercial.." This is a good place for a stickup!".
