Made by Parker. Draw length is 27" set at 55lbs. Shot it a few times and it's not bad for a starter bow. Picked it up at Cabela's for $299 after $50 off coupon.

Can't wait till fall:evil:

I hope the bow serves you well. If it fits you properly Parker puts out some pretty good bows. Good luck in the fall and practice alot from now until then. Archery if very addictive also spend alot of time in range estimation. Look at a object estimate the distance and pace it off. A 55lb draw will certainly kill a deer but will have a fair amount of arc. Have fun and welcome to archery:cool:

i just got it for 1 day and i feel addicted to it... man, i already know i'm gonna be out in the woods more and more this fall..

i have feeling i'm gonna spending more time inthe back yard practicing than at the gun range with my rifles and pistols.. :) I guess i won't have to worry about not finding arrows hahaha..

I think my back yard contains a couple dozen arrows that were never found. I have been teaching my boys archery for the last 3 years. Both of them shoot 3-D with me. It is a blast. Arrows have a way of snaking into the grass and you will walk over them 20-30 times before you see it. have fun let us know how you progress.

I've been shooting a recurve lately. It broke. I have a little target bow I've stung so I don't lose what little skill I've built to date, but have been thinking of ebaying a compound. There are tons of 'em there and some can be had for bargain prices. I'm not sure my bum right eye can make use of sights, but I can set it up to shoot instinctive like I'm doing now with my recurve. I figure it'd be a little less prone to breakage than ordering another old recurve if nothing else and I can leave it strung which you can't do with a recurve.

Yeah, I've lost a few arrows, too. That's just part of the deal. LOL I know one of 'em is across the fence in the woods somewhere. Oops. One's under the grass somewhere.

You will find the more you shoot the more hooked you will be. If you like a little more of a challenge as you shoot more and more, you may like to use Google images and print off some pics of animals and hand them on your target. It’s a fun way to change things up a bit. I know I have can’t wait till I get my cast of my left arm/hand so I can get back to shooting my bow.
