Hi guys

New here

I live in the middle of the bush and am forced to be quite creative. I might have the internet but no post. When i decided that i wanted new grips for my revolver, i decided to make my own.

A simple proceedure for grips that will fit you better than any thing else on the market.

1: remove old grips.
2: cut out 2 covers(L/R) to cover the main spring. I used a aluminium can.
3: superglue these covers on only with a drop here and a drop there. dont use too much. it will chip off later if you want to remove them later
4: mix up equal parts of pratly putty and mold around the grip frame.
5: smooth off with a damp cloth.
6: let set.

Im not sure if you guys get pratly putty but its basically two sticks of putty that you mix together. It sets rock hard and is quite durable. i wouldnt drop it though but if you did it can be repaired easily with the same putty. It is slightly heavy but extremely comfortable.

That two part stuff sounds like epoxy putty which we can get under other names. The neat thing with this stuff is that you can mold it directly to your own hand shape.

It's worth mentioning that when kneeding it together to mix it that you should wear some sort of painter's gloves or rubber gloves. Epoxy is really bad for the skin and one friend suffered from a bad case of allergic reaction eczema for weeks after mixing up epoxy putty just one time only. While others won't have the same reaction it's still not good for your skin or your internal system.

Fired about 60 shots of max load yesterday and it holds up great. no cracks etc. Ive been carrying it daily and it holds up to everyday abuse. Pretty tough i think and man does it add to accuracy compared to the short compact wood slabs. Im very happy with them.
