I'm having trouble with an old Marlin 42, I'm hoping someone with a little experience with the model can help me.
Mine was in fine working condition, however on one occasion while pumping the action, the action locked in the open position. It will close partially, until the feed ramp begins to rise, then will go no farther forward.
I've tinkered and fiddled, I've even done a partial disassemble and dropped the bolt and feed ramp out, and can find nothing marred or burred that would hold up the action. I'd like to take it down fully, but I'm unable to locate an exploded diagram anywhere on the internet, and frankly, well I'll just admit it, I can't figure out how to get the bolt assembly apart, much less back together.
Anyone familiar with this old critter?
