Choate 7 shot extension PROBLEMS

I can't for the life of me get this to install on my wingmaster. It feels WAY too hard to thread on. I actually got it on using a wrench (it didn't cross thread) but it wouldnt feed right when on. Any idea whats going on?

First, what gun is it going on? Second, does your standard nut go on and off without any resistance? If so, I'd suspect your extension nut is squished a little. If the standard nut goes on tight, it's your magazine tube that is squished.

the standard went on fine. i got the extension on with the use of a wrench. i know it shouldnt be required...but it cycles and feeds flawlessly now...but i had to wrench it on there HARd..


gun is an 870 wingmaster from the 70s.
